Andrew L Stevens, E.A, M.B.A

Andrew Stevens (Andy) brings a wealth of well-rounded experience to Houston’s tax community. For nearly a decade he has served clients in individual and business taxation, tax strategy, and business consulting. As an experienced entrepreneur in his own right, he recently launched, operated, and sold a successful corporate team building and entertainment company, so he has first-hand experience with issues such as business planning, financial modeling, employee management, payroll, entity selection, tax strategy, and business sales.

Andy’s years of helping clients save taxes and manage their businesses, combined with his years of involvement in high-level corporate strategy, and his own entrepreneurial experience gives him a “big picture” understanding of tax and operational challenges that businesses of all sizes often face. And for those who are looking for cutting edge strategies for their existing businesses, starting out with a new business, or thinking about starting a business, Andy is currently writing a book that will enable readers to hone-in on tax strategies that are appropriate for them, with real-world examples that show how other people have benefitted after putting these strategies into practice. In addition to his experience as a tax professional to individuals and businesses, Andy spent five years as a Strategy & Operations consultant with Deloitte, and he also served as Director of Corporate Development for a global telecom conglomerate. He earned a Bachelors of Science in Finance from the University of Utah, and a Masters of Business Administration from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina.

In his spare time Andy enjoys building custom electric guitars from scratch. He and his wife live in Houston, Texas where she practices medicine. They welcomed their first child in September of 2017.
